A new year brings a new feeling, a new energy to life. The possibilities feel endless. It’s the fresh start many look forward to as the new year arrives. Don’t let this new beginning pass you by. Take some time to sit down and write down how you’d like to see this year unfold and to reflect on how 2007 played out for you. What was significant in 2007? What were your successes? What were some challenges, and how did you overcome those challenges? We tend to forget what happened over a whole year, by jotting down some of these major things that occurred for you, you’ll see how far you’ve come.

There are so many questions we go through. A new start is always refreshing. A clear canvas to paint our new year, to create some new dreams and achieve the things we’ve always wanted to.

I invite you to ask yourself some questions. To run through the inventory of 2007, calculating the challenges and successes of the year and determining how you see your life in 2008. What do you want for this year? What will you accept in your life this year, and what might you want to let go of to create this new beginning?

Setting goals is an important step in obtaining what you’d like to have in your life, your business, financially, emotionally or within your family. Setting goals for this year starts with asking yourself what you want. It may seem daunting at first because there may be a lot you would like to achieve so start writing down a list of these things and how important they are to you. Once you have a list, you can create the steps to get you there. Some goals may be for today, this week, this month or to obtain by the end of 2008. Whatever they may be, rest assured if you can create a list of clear goals, you can then set intentions on how you will be and steps to get there. Those things will begin to take shape and manifest in your life.

Whether it’s reading new books, obtaining more customers, selling a new product, offering a new service or being the top of your industry – these goals can be reached, when it is specific to you and your dreams. Continue to feel the motivation of this year, this new beginning and allow it to flourish instead of dwindle away. There are so many questions to ponder, a whole year to reflect back on and a new one to create.
