Manifesting Your Vision - November

Tale'awtxw is proud to support Denise in moving towards becoming the first Aboriginal Certified Coach in BC.

“Vision” is an old term in the business world, but creating a Vision for your entire life is an empowering new technique. For some, this process seems too “fluffy” or devoid of the instant gratification and tangible results we’ve come to expect from our fast paced drive-thru world. For others, creating a Vision is the key to unlocking and obtaining their dreams and aspirations. What can adopting this ritual do for you? It can change your life.

The concept of creating a Vision was introduced to me by my Business Coach, who asked what exactly I wanted to create for myself over the next 5, 10 and 20 years. What an intimidating question! Dealing with the present is consuming enough, but it’s comfortable. Composing the future is frightening and unfamiliar ground fraught with uncertainty, but with the support and encouragement of my Coach, I am able to venture into the future, generating and entertaining possibilities. The future will occur whether I hide from it or prepare for it, but having a Vision of what I want my life to be is the first step in making that Vision a reality.

As I began to answer the carefully worded questions asked by my Coach, my confidence grew and I let go of the limitations that so many of us impose on ourselves. It gave me permission to dream of something bigger than the present. It taught me that my Vision had always existed within me, just waiting to burst into view and flourish like a flower from a seed, and then it did. My Vision rose to the surface with vibrant clarity and abundant truth. Not only did I know what I wanted to achieve, I realized I was absolutely capable of manifesting and managing it.

With the picture painted in my minds eye, I began to write my Vision. It flowed through me from pen to paper in vivid detail. I could see where I was, what I was doing, who I was with and how it all felt. Writing in the present tense increased the power of my Vision, silencing regrets of the past and fears of the future. Through this freedom, I realized that only immediate action would fulfill my Vision, and the action of writing it filled me with the invigorating and powerful energy of the present moment. The knowledge that I would achieve my Vision simply by trusting it washed over me with tranquil confidence.

The moment I tapped into myself and believed that I could accomplish my Vision changed my life, and when I pause to see how far I’ve come, I celebrate gaining inspiration from the momentous opportunity to witness my life become what I want. Merely acknowledging my Vision gave it an identity, and now it’s manifesting itself. It continues to guide me on my journey, growing and changing with me. It’s my life map. I choose my route and get down to the adventure of enjoying the journey.

Why pull over to ask directions when you can make your own map?

Begin to manifest your Vision!

Close your eyes and look into the future 5, 10, 20 years. Let go of any judgments and begin to paint a picture in your mind.

What does your life look like?

How is your life on a day to day basis?

What will you be able to say about yourself and your life?

What are your relationships like with other people in your life – family, friends, business associates, customers, employees, community?

What have you learned in your life – intellectually, spiritually, financially, physically?

What impact has the current economic condition had/have on your business?
